Where is the problem?
Collaboration between IT and OT rarely fails because of the technology. It fails because two worlds collide that believe they understand each other but speak entirely different languages. It takes someone who understands both worlds. That is me.
IT
I started as a programmer and IT specialist in classical IT. I helped users with everyday tasks, built and administered networks and infrastructure, and migrated hardware into virtual data centres. In hospital IT, I integrated and maintained medical devices into IT systems.
OT
Then I moved into automation. Process visualisations, control systems, complex plant systems - most recently as Senior Technical Consultant and technical project manager for major pharma clients. Plant availability, cycle times or batches are barely known in IT. I know them well.
The missing link
Over many years I worked with the most varied people and roles, across all levels. I learned how quickly misunderstandings arise and how decisive clarity in communication can be.
That is why in recent years I first trained as a systemic consultant and then, through the European University Association, also as a mediator.
What does this mean for you?
I translate not only between systems, but also between people. I pick up on different expectations, things left unsaid and missing clarity very quickly. I listen, ask questions and get conversations moving again.
At the interface between clients, specialist departments and technical teams, I translate requirements for you and support you in developing robust solutions.
