How a technology comes to be
When I joined Merck to develop an orchestration layer, MTP was still in its infancy. No ready-to-buy system, no proven concept - just a standard that still had to find its shape in practice. I worked deep into the standard, programmed the first PEAs myself and led the development of the POL.
I also stood with lab technicians and process specialists in the laboratory, verified practical feasibility and guided the system all the way to market readiness. The result was one of the first Process Orchestration Layers in the world.
